Living Edge is excited to announce that the Flos Decorative Lighting Collection is now available Australia-wide, extending the distribution into Western Australia.
FLOS is a renowned and iconic brand leader known for it’s creative designs and unsurpassed quality for lighting products. Established in Merano, Italy in 1962, FLOS has continually delivered the ultimate in design with myriad ranges of products and systems for the residential and architectural lighting sector. Since inception, FLOS has been at the forefront of innovative and original design, collaborating with a plethora of internationally celebrated designers that include such luminaires of the design world as Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni, Philippe Starck, Afra and Tobia Scarpa, Antonio Citterio, Marcel Wanders, Konstantin Grcic, Jasper Morrison, Patricia Urquiola, Ron Gilad and many more.
With a commitment to research and development to produce outstanding and exciting product FLOS is consistently at the vanguard of lighting technology presenting a lighting aesthetic beloved of architects and designers world-wide.
“Throughout Australia, lighting is arguably one of this industry’s most exciting and innovative areas for design. Responding to this increased demand for high quality, authentic and future-proof lighting products, at Living Edge we are extremely proud that the FLOS Decorative Collection will now be available Australia-wide. FLOS has a clean, svelte and classic aesthetic powered by the latest in technology and research,” said Aidan Mawhinney, CEO, Living Edge
Of particular note within the FLOS collections are Michael Anastassiades’ Cocoon Overlap pendant lights. Available in two models, made of white powder coated steel with a coating of resin over the structure and a printed steel diffuser in a polished gold-plated ‘Galvanic’ finish, the Coccon Overlap collection is contemporary and sophisticated with a warm, diffused light presence that creates the perfect ambience.
And then there are two of the worlds most definitive table lamps, both designed by the inimitable duo of Achille and Per Giacomo Castiglioni. The Snoopy lamp made of white Carrara marble with an enamelled metal reflector first came to prominence in 1967; while the Taccia, released in 1962, features a nickel-plated base, body in matt black, silver or bronze with the very recognizable white glass reflecting form above.
Living Edge is will be introducing new colour options in June for Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby’s playful Bellhop and popular Tab table and floor lights. The new colours for both collections will complement the colours already available.
Through timeless design and the highest level of quality, FLOS continues to be a dominant brand within the exciting and every-changing world of lighting and the FLOS Decorative Collection is another outstanding addition to the other furniture, and accessory brands and products available at Living Edge.
