OPENING NIGHT FRIDAY 27 NOVEMBER, 6 – 8PM. EXHIBITION CONTINUES 28 NOVEMBER – 19 DECEMBER WED – SUN, 11AM – 5PM
Gallery 1: GRAHAM MATHWIN: CONTIGUOUS VIEWS OF PASSING SCENERY
Contiguous views of passing scenery considers the urban landscape as an image. It is an attempt to present the kaleidoscopic experience of travelling through this landscape of images, made by people and filled with the artefacts and detritus of their passage.
Gallery 2: CEDAR RANKIN-CHEEK, ISABELLA ROSSARO, ZOË SYDNEY: SELECTED WORKS
Gallery 3: SAM HUXTABLE: VALUE UNKNOWN
The cost of being a trans person is high. Monetary cost, emotional cost, physical cost, the cost of life and the cost of loss. Dysphoria and euphoria cost. Being terrified in bathrooms costs. Being harassed, threatened, and killed costs. Value Unknown is an examination and destruction of these costs, and a celebration of trans life and perseverance.
Project Space: SHANNON MARLBOROUGH: MARQUEE
Marquee is an exhibition of moving image works. Composed of GIFs taken from the remnants of archived Myspace webpages, Marquee considers the visual language of an internet era that was romantic, glitzy, glamorous and messy.
