7th September – 27th September

Everyone’s favourite CBD Gin destination, The Flour Factory today opened Perth’s first Gin & Tonic Gala – a three week celebration of the most GINnovative drink ever; the Gin & Tonic!

Tanqueray, Gordon’s Gin, Bombay Sapphire and Fords Gin have sponsored the event –  which will feature four limited edition cocktails crafted specially by The Flour Factory’s Bar Manager Verity Coles to showcase each of the iconic four sponsors (link to images below);

  • Watermelon Sugar High – Tanqueray, Chandon Rosé, watermelon, soda, cucumber ($17)
  • Honey Empire – Fords Gin, smoked local honey, cinnamon, lemon, whites ($20)
  • Bombay Bramble Collins – Bombay Bramble, lemon, raspberry, soda, basil ($19)
  • Sicilian Lemon Sorbet – Gordon’s Sicilian Lemon Gin, Giffard White Cacao, Bianco Vermut, lemon, cracked wattle seed ($18)

Following on from the recent floral and butterfly window install by DUO Events Creative Studio, The Flour Factory has joined forces with DUO again – this time to create a large-scale floral garland overhead venue art installation.

In a Perth hospitality first, the installation runs throughout the length of the bar area featuring 3,000 garlands made from Yupo synthetic paper, measuring approx. 250 lineal meters! 450+ individual butterflies feature on custom designed sculptures showcased on each of The Flour Factory’s large feature lights running throughout the bar area.

The bright and bold garlands feature four different patterns, custom created for The Flour Factory and digitally printed in seven custom Spring colours – which have been selected specifically to compliment the four key sponsors. Every garland has been individually laser cut, each taking eight minutes to produce – that’s a whopping 30hrs of print time! Garlands have been secured to The Flour Factory’s heritage listed ceiling with over 600 magnets – and the entire install took over 16hrs to create.

Milieu Creative assisted with the design for The Flour Factory’s new operable front windows, which were installed on Sunday – along with a freshen up of the venue’s restaurant seating and bar space. Connecting The Flour Factory with Queen Street revellers, this great new update completes The Flour Factory’s $1/2 million facelift – just in time for the launch of a new weekly Friday night, TONIC.

TONIC  will see live DJs featured in the new window space, rotating a fusion of urban grooves and soulful sounds every Friday from 5pm ‘til late – dropping on Friday 11 September.

“Music is an integral part of what we do, not only at The Flour Factory, but across the entire Sneakers & Jeans group” said Sneakers & Jeans CEO Andy Freeman. “It’s something we’re incredibly passionate about and something we’ll be focussing on more with some exciting projects to come… We’ve been waiting to get these windows in since the start of 2020 – and can’t wait to drop this new Friday night in conjunction with this massive new feature.”

One thing’s for sure… The Flour Factory is THE place to be this Spring/Summer!
